I'm looking at an '88 Thunderbird V8 for sale down the street. It's in rough shape but all there.

Did they have any major issues with them?

the Fox based cars were by far better then the MN12 IMO. Not as finnickey.

Just my 0.02, but I've always loved the 87/88 fox cars. If it's rough , but you're willing to put work into it, it might not be a bad thing to look into. If you want some more info, here are a couple sites:

http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/

I've always thought that those were two good places to get Fox info.

I would love to get my hands on an 87/88 Turbo Coupe. I've just always loved the way they look and the turbo 4 is a neat little engine that can make some respectable power. If I had a Fox 'bird now, this engine swap would sure be going a lot smoother. :)

Thanks guys.

I should be able to get it for about $500-$700. I like the body style and I figured it should be easy to build up the 5.0.

Thanks for the sites cougar_guy04.

So I went and talked to the kid about the car. I tell him my plans for it and he desides to keep it! He's going to fix it up himself.

At least it's another Bird being saved. :)
