Hey, just contemplating whether or not getting clear corners for my car. Any thoughts???

Check the site for pics, and I will post 1 here

BTW, I took the license plate off, as well as the bird symbol up front, but they are still in the pics

It's a matter of personal preference, but I love them on my pearl white bird. Never been a fan of the amber lens.

I kinda like the orange/amber (whatever f'n color) with my red/dark red paint. It has jus been brought up that it may look good, which I was thinkin itmight, but who knows. I personally thought it was a ricer mod, but I have seen other Bird on the forumn with them. I will try and edit a pic of my car with them on.

I wouldn't be without mine, but I have a 93 Cougar, and looks may differ on different years.

you see, the reason it looks ricey on most cars, is because stock, they have a giant amber piece of plastic. on the 96/97s, we all ready have the center parking light clear, and the corner is clear, also, except for a tiny piece of amber plastic. so it's not like we're replacing a giant corner light with clear plastic, just a tiny little bit.

here's you're car with said visual mods, Aaron.

For what it's worth...

...I like the plain look over the orange corner, but I would never change the tails to any other color than RED.
When I brought her home.

After the Corba R hood.

After paint and wheels.

I like clear corners. They are cheaper than new amber corners, so I said "why not". They look good only with new or clear headlights.

I love my clear corners. I was a little skeptical about putting them on my car, but the look really good with new headlights and on a clean black car. Really, I have yet to see them not look good on any car that I've seen. It makes the car look "younger" too.

I wasn't gonna get them at all, but once my car was hit and the header panel was cracked, along with the passenger side corner light (the orange was broken off and the corner was cracked, i was liking the look it gave...nice clean newer look. Plus i'm the only kid in my college with an MN12 with Clear Corners. :)

I have an all black bird and i thought that they would look pretty good on there. Got some new headlights and put thm on made it look 100 times better. I plan on doing the 96-97 lamp switch in the near future.

I love em

I think Clear Corners look great! Even tho they're illegal and say it on them when you get them I've had no trouble at all (I know this is a reason some avoid). Shoot I had them on when I had my car inspected and nothing was said, and yesterday I was at the Court House (surrounded by police) and nothing was said. I guess Virginia is for Lovers state motto may becomming around, for a while I hated law enforcement here.

I'm not aware that clear corners are illegal in many states as long
as you use an amber bulb. Maybe, technically, they are (illegal),
someone that's more familiar with some of the state's laws will
have to answer.....you can see my clears in my sig picture...

Happy " 'Bird " Day everyone...... :usa:

I was just stating what the warning sticker on the corner said, as for them being legal or not from state to state I have no clue. The sticker just said that they weren't approved for road use and we illegal if I remember...

Thought I would clearify.
