Getting a generic P0720 code for "Output Shaft Speed Sensor" on my '95.

To be clear, this is not the VSS that's on the tail of the trans. It's farther up & forward on the case of the trans from the VSS. I was barely able to snake my hand between the floorboard and the trans to disconnect the plug to the OSS sensor. I wasn't really able to inspect the plug or wiring that well without being able to remove the trans harness.

What I was wondering is,

1) Has anyone had this issue and if so, what was the culprit? Sensor? Wiring? Ground issue?

2) (The one that worries me the most) Is it possible to remove the sensor without dropping the trans?

3) Anyone have a link or diagram of the trans harness they can post?

It wont come out in place, it's too long.
I think it will come out if you drop it down some by removing the trans mound and lowering it with a jack.
Be careful not to damage the driveshaft.
