Recently I did a fuel injection clean "harsh throught fuel rail". When cold the car has a misfire or a dead cylinder. ONLY at WOT the car will clear itself then when back at idle will have a dead cylinder ONLY when cold. I cannot pinpoint the cylinder because I do not have the appropriate tools. I have spark on all 8 cylinders.

Is there a way to pinpoint a fuel injector without using a ODB II universal scan tool?

I do not have the money to replace all fuel injectors at this time.

Thanks in advance.

use a long screw driver and put the tip next to each injector. put your ear on the other end. listen for clicking. if its clicking, its working. move on to the next one.

how you can also pinpoint which one is the dead one: pull off each plug wire one at a time. if the engine runs worse, the cylinder was fine. plug the wire back in. if there is no change, thats the bad one.
