you can try to clean the IAC with some carb/brake cleaner first.. some times they just gum up with oil vapors from the PVC system

I got this error about 6 months ago, and it was a vacuum leak. I fixed that and it went away. Now it's back, and i can't find any vacuum leaks. the iac was replaced just before i bought the car last may, probably because of the same issue. anyone have any ideas on how to figure out what's wrong? the only thing i can think of is my MAF adapter is the wrong size so my maf is reading incorrectly. I have a new MAF in the mail and it'll be here Friday, but i'm told that wouldn't cause a p1506 code...

i'm going to have to get my car inspected in may, and it can't have any CEL.
