I need to thin the herd a bit, and these 2 are basically not worth fixing, so time to part them out.

The 96 is a 3.8 with I think about 160K on it that my friend's father got into a minor front end hit with. Basically it would need a hood, left fender, header panel, headlights, and a minor repair to the bumper, but the interior is beat, door hinge sags, door handle broken, tail lights don't match (corners are 94/95 and centers are 96/97), idle surges all over the place, paint peeling, etc. Anyway, if anyone needs anything, let me know.

The 89XR7 I was planning on putting back together, but the floors are rotting out of it, and I bought a 94SC, so I'll transfer the motor and my go fast goodies into that car. The cougar is a 5-speed car, but the trans needs 2nd gear synchros. It does have a 91-95 cougar ram-air hood that I would trade for a tbird one, or sell, or if I don't get much for it, I'll keep it and modify it to fit the bird. Also it has a 91-93 cougar header panel with headlights and grille. Interior is grey and black, and isn't too bad, except that the dash is cracking, and misc little pieces have gone missing while the car has been sitting.

If anyone needs anything, let me know. I'm going to be tearing down the 96 first, then the 89 later, so bigger things off the 89 may have to wait.

interested in a few thing depending on price. I need a dash that hasnt had the air bags go off and no cracks, i need a glove box latch or door and a price on the hood.

The cluster surround isn't black, it is like a dark brown. Let me check for you though, cause I might have a black one laying around my garage somewhere.

John, the glove box latch, just cover shipping and I'll send it to you. For the hood, how about $250 and you come pick it up? I'll even help you swap it onto your car for you.

the latch sounds good, the hood is it 4 pin or does it use hinges? and will it be good on a 95? oh and do you have a good dash with no cracks, dont care about color

The dash does have at least one crack on the driver's side directly above the cluster. It could probably be repaired, but if you are looking for a perfect one, this isn't it. I'll double check this weekend and see if there is any other damage to it, and if you want it, come and get it.

The hood uses hinges, and currently doesn't have any hood pin holes drilled. It would be a direct bolt-on for the 95, and it is the Mach1 style. If I were running it, I would install pins just cause I don't trust fiberglass hoods to not fly up, but it does have the latch and everything for you to just install it as is, and you'd probably be alright as long as you don't hit triple-digit speeds. I'm trying to get my camera to transfer pics again, and once I get that straightened out I'll post up a pic of the hood.

Redbird, I just looked through my garage, and I can't find the black cluster surround, so I don't know if it is just buried under there or what. If you want the dark brown one out of the car, make me an offer on it.

Never mind the dash then Im looking for something that is perfect to replace the one I repaired after my accident. As for the hood I want it but im not sure I could spare the 250 right now with V-day coming up even though it is beautiful and im sure it would look nice as hell on my cougar any chance on a partial trade for my stock hood lol. Unless you could hold it till march? when I know i'll have the spare coin. let me know if nothing else Ill send you the money for the latch mechanism (whole assembly, internal parts)

Let me pull the latch for you and get the shipping cost on it for you this weekend. As for the hood, March would be fine. Like I said, if nobody wants it, I'll modify it to fit the tbird, but I'll make sure to give you first dibs on it before I do that.

Thanks a lot man I appreciate it. as soon as I have the cash for the hood I will be in contact. It may be sooner I just don't know how things will go as far as free cash right now lol. Not to mention I still want to do that 5.0 swap one of these days.
