That is really incredible!!! How in the heck did you get all the Mark VIII interior stuff to work, especially the dash and message center???

hell yeah that looks good, damnnn one question tho, why didnt you just get a mark8 instead? I personally wish i had gotten a mark8 instead of my cougar... Whats with the hood, is it off a 93? Awesome job dropping that motor and interior in... I love the Mark8 lights in the back seat pillar.... congrats on such a good job...

Looking good  I'm curious as to what you are using to make the dash black? Are you just using paint or a vinyl dye. From what I can see, the dash looks pretty good. Got any tips? I'd like to paint my "doo doo" brown dash, black :)

Okay for dan, Dan did do all the work on this, all im doing is wiring w/ my accesories and extra stuff. I also did the body line. the corner markers im sure some of u have laughed about. I dont have my own set of clear yet and since i wrecked my old pair im using dans 94 corners which at one time he painted white but dropped one so its now duct taped :p okay lol. All the mark8 stuff fit nicely except the panels LOL. The doors had to be cut adn the mk8 interior metal welded in place.

The message center works b/c i used every little piece from the mk8 my bird has no bird parts except the body. I did get a mk 8 and it was wrecked, so instead of having 2 cars, it became one cool one ;) And i like the bird body. Yes the hood is to a 93 and still needs to be modified. We still have to figure out how to make the back panel fit and look good. For the dash to be black im using SEM color coating. Its a flexible paint not a dye. It says can be used on carpet also but im not even trying it. It looks real good on the dash, just make sure u keep an even pace and the dash is clean. I wiped down the dash w/ laquer thinner before and dans doing the painting b/c i have no spray paint skills. The paint is in the form of a spray paint and same size as a regular can of spray paint but cost $9 a can.

So the gutted Mark is now being shortened? What is going to power it? Full custom interior? You should come up with something for it to double as, Monster Garage style.

Very impressive work!

I also saw your bird over on CarDomain. Being somewhat of a geezer, relatively speaking, some of the mods are not my "cup-of-tea" but the craftsmanship and execution is supurb!

Have you gotten the hood finished, and what did you have to do to make it work (beyond the obvious "nose-job" required)? I'd like to do the same to my '95 Daily Driver, since I like that hood more than the slick ones. Please do tell...I doubt that I'm the only one who'd like to know.

Take care,
Wayne

Im not sure which mods u dont like, perhaps the air suspension? The front half is factory mk8. My car is a stock mark 8, in a bird body w/ sc gfxs. Im glad to see u like the work :D The hood has not been finished yet. As far as fit all that needed to be done was cutting the extra material off the front (between the headlights) We are thinking of making a mold of the factory hood, and re-glassing the front of the cervinis.

As far as the mk8 body goes, its still undecided. Yes it has been shortened but its just practice work. Extra parts and what not.

try looking into a product called buldog it is aprimer thatis used on interior parts/plastic parts helps the paint to adhere better it would be a good idea to clean the parts first with a pre cleaner then scotch pad them then apply the bulldog primer then apply the sem finish paint sem is high quality i have used it for years. good luck
