Ok had my diff rebuilt a few months ago and the pinion seal is now leaking preety bad. I have a seal sitting here, is this something I can easily replace myself? I would really like to avoid having my car down while the diff is being worked on by someone else. Any one have any tips or tricks to replacing the seal?

Thanks,

If you feel comfortable rebuilding your diff yourself, then yes you can. The good thing is that you will be using the same gears, so just keep track of which shims came from where and make sure they all go back in the same place, and you should get the same tooth pattern. Just make sure to use a new crush sleeve and make sure you have the right backlash and rotational drag.
