I have owned a lot of mn12s and the one I bought for my winter driver is very plain. It is the only one I have ever owned that has manual seats both sides, manual air,but it also has a factory spoiler with the brake light on the spoiler and the one in the back window deleted so I figure it is original.I suspect it might be some kind of package that was offered by Ford.Just wondering if anyone has run into this sort of package before.

I just remembered I did brakes on the car and they are the standard ones.I used to work at a dealer and this looks kind of like a spring package from Ford. The build date is 02/97 and the car is a 3.8.

Mine was the same way when I bought it, but I added the spoiler. Interior also didn't have leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter.

If all else fails read the instructions.I have a sales brochure on the 96 and 97 ,s and in reading it there is a preferred equipment package #155A that gets the alloy wheels with 215R70R15 tires, heated back window, and then there is a preferred Package 157A that gets you the power drivers seat illuminated entry system, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.I did not notice that both the leather wrapped steering wheel , as well as the illuminated entry system.I guess it was a poor mans Thunderbird, the only options it had was the alloy wheels with the larger tires, heated back window, and the rear spoiler. The first one I ever saw which suits me for what I purchased the car for, winter driving to keep my California sport away from the nasty Canadian salt.

Sounds exactly like mine! (my wife's) It is pearl white and has exactly what you described. We had a 96 b4 this one and it had a bunch of options..a lot nicer, except it also had some hail damage that the ford place took off $ at the used car center. The 96 also was a preowned by a Ford exec...The 97 is still nice amd treats us good everyday. I thought it was wierd the lack of options on our current one, but it was the color that sold me and loooow miles when we bought it from the 86 year old lady. (4 years ago)

My 96 LX Sport with all the options and 68 k is that pearl white.Funny I bought the car because it was just like new both body wise(From California) and the mechanics but at first not real crazy about the colour but after a few months I really started to like it.The car is stored and I do like the 97 but it sure is plain.
