Anyone ever tapped onto the plastic air inlet tube? If so, how did you seal it and do you have any photos?

I need a 3/4" nipple so I can plumb it to an IAC.

This is what I need to tap onto:

There isn't a flat place on that tube anywhere. :bawling:

On my Taurus, I need to add a 3/8" hose barb to my intake tube. I am going to get a steel pipe nipple. Cut a small hole in the intake tube (smaller than the nipple). I might also weld a small washer onto it so it cant get sucked in! Then I am going to put some windo-weld urethane around it and let it dry for a day. This should be the last thing I need to do to get rid of this detonation! I thought the mark TB had a hole for the iac air to flow through. What are you up to? :)
