I have a 1995 4.6L V8. My car is misfiring sooo bad. Here the story from the beginning. .. My tensioner seized up and the wheel completely broke off. While replacing it and the belt, I leaned on the wrong thing and ended up breaking the male connector piece off the top of the radiator connecting to hose to the coolant overflow tank. So now I had to replace the radiator. After installing the new radiator, I spray off the engine compartment with a garden hose. Thats when the real problem began. My car started to run really rough and misfire quite badly. Oh I forgot to mention that in February I had the fuel pump and filter replaced along with a fuel system cleaning including the injectors. But after the radiator replacement and me foolishly dumping water in my engine compartment, the vehicle misfired something fierce. The first I thing I changed was the spark plugs. It helped but the Lord problem still occurred and began to worsen I again. So next I replaced the spark plug wires, both coil packs and the battery. I also repaired a small vacuum leak I found and replaced the air filter. It still is misfiring. The condition is intermittent and ranges from bad to really bad. At one point I pulled my spark plugs and all were fine except the last one closest to the firewall on the passenger side. When I pulled that one it I was dripping water. I left it unplugged for almost a week and when I put I it back in and checked again, it was dry. Finally my question... aside from the injectors being bad, and a leak in the head gasket (because it doesn't feel like those) what else I should I check? By the way, It feels exactly like it did when my fuel pump was going out but ive had the pressure tested and it's putting out 32 psi.

thanks guys

I fixed it. I cannot believe it. I just replaced the spark plugs but I figured why not look at them a little more closely. When I took them out of the boxes I pretty much gapped em then put em in. I didn't really inspect them too closely. Turns out my #7 plug had two cracks in the porcelain. Makes sense to me now why it was intermittent. The plug would be not fine but ok until it heated up and the porcelain expanded. Destroying the connection or arc. But it runs better now than it has for almost ten years. Yesterday i smoked a charger hahaha. Probably only had a six but still. I love this car. Anyways thanks again. I'll be back because I plan to do a lot more to her and im no mechanic. Just a man with a dream carrying a Chilton and a Haynes.
