on my "future" mother inlaws:leftright 94 thunderbird 4.6L....there is a popping sound comming from her rear end (of the car LOL)...anyways i checked the shocks and its not them but it does it whenever she hits a bump or goes over rail road tracks and when she is pulling out of her drive way....so i am clueless and have no idea so any ideas fellas??? or gals???

I will bet on sway bar endlinks......over time they wear out and the rubber insert falls out then you just have a bolt moving around inside a steel eye

I'd have to second both, had to do both at the same time on my bird. Tightened the rear end up a lot.

I agree with timb. Mine did that exact same thing and it was the sway bar end links. On a 94 it would be a good idea to put shocks on it if they have never been replaced while you're under there.
