i did a search and couldnt find anything.
is it possible to change your user name and retain PM's, profile, post count, water weight, etc?

All of that data is retained. Only Admins and Super Mods can change the username. If you want a change, let me or Brian know since we're usually the main 2 who make those changes for users.

Just remember if you do make a change you will have to login with your new name as the old one will no longer be valid so the next time you show up the cookie won't work.

If the user makes use of the Remember Usename and Password as well as Browse boards with cookies, they should not need to worry about that.

Now, if they log in and out, they will need to use their new username with their password of course.
