All of 2011, only ONE PERSON posted a dyno graph. This year, we have three so far!

I personally would LOVE to see this thread FULL of dyno graphs! If you have them, please post them!!!!!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!:thumbsup:

Nice Brandon!

Now, I've been following your mods and rwhp numbers along the way with your Bird. Did you add the dual exhaust with this last set of mods including PI cams & U/Ds or was it sooner?

Selected mods, in order were:

7/09 PI intake/80mm MAF
10/09 PI cams
10/10 Exhaust
12/10 Gears
3/12 Pulleys/water pump
4/12 DirtyDog trans/converter, 24# injectors and LaSota tune

Don noted it was a bit lean for the first 2/3 of the run. He has already sent me a modified tune to compensate and has suggested I get my hands dirty and learn the PRP. That I think is next.

Here is a video as well, for those interested... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=145aQYzyKTU&feature=youtu.be

nice power.....should have rev'd it out to 6800-7000 to determine the best shift points.
Super.....now what? Any way other than having it done again? Guess I should have looked into that before the tune.........:(

~20rwhp and ~25rwtq with a Cobra intake! SWEEEEEEET!

I know you put a lot of time & hard work into that intake and it's nice to see you got some well-deserved payback from it!!!

My most recent. 93 octane tune...I think. Done with a full tank of premium. I got a regular 87 and premium 93 tune.

So I dyno'd mine tonight at work during training on the mustang dyno after breaking it in on a 7.3 ford diesel, a Taurus rental car, and a 6.0 chevy 1500hd, anyway 196hp/216tq were my numbers the guy said it would be more like 225-230hp on a DynoJet since they don't have a built in Eddy Brake :zdunno: They also kept saying that gears and tire size make a difference too I don't know which way up or down each correspond. I was hoping for high 200's like 250 or better but honestly I don't really care what the machine says. The DOHC is a complete blast on the road and autocross events.

I might try to run it this winter with new plugs and under drives and see if I can break the 200 mark. I was hoping for more, but with stock exhaust manifolds/cats, and the ported gen1 intake I'm not that surprised. What I feel I really need is a better intake manifold and exhaust to let my cams breathe better.

I also ran a simulated 1/4 mile 15.22 with a reaction time of .23 and a 60ft of 2.2 which was the fastest run of everything we messed with. I don't know if that's good or not. If I could do better I'll shoot for better next time since we are doing a lot of training until we get a handle of the equipment.

As far as the graph I don't know if it saved or how to export it yet since this was literally day 1 of dyno training. If it did save I'll find out how to export it and post it.

Weather today was in the low 90's and raining. I'm not sure how much that matters either. It's all still new, foreign, and exciting to me right now. My only confidence booster is that out of everything I had the fastest simulated ET and when I let it rip I was the only one to chirp tires on the dyno during my shifts.

New numbers 227hp/241tq I made a few adjustments to the tune, changed the plugs, timing, tires, colder air, adjusted shift points and gave it hell. Those numbers were done on the mustang dyno at my work. I'm a little happier now. Still through stock cats, including the drivers side manifold/cat from the Mark VIII. Later that night I ran my new track times.

My RT and 60 need work, I know I've got more in it.

14.512 @ 96.03 1/4 mile. 11/2012.

Still working on that. I need to learn how to cut the graph, pull up saved pulls, etc... With all the work we've had lately I haven't had much time to play with the saving/smoothing/trimming/printing side of the graphs.

New for 2013.

Mods:

Modular Head Shop stage 2 ported PI heads with stage 3 +1mm oversized valves
Bullet stage 2P cams
Braincoating severely ported/coated exhaust manifolds
PI intake
Stock 1997 shortblock, crank/rods/pistons and throttle body/plenum
99-04 Mustang GT style air intake
Steeda underdrive pulleys
Closed vane water pump
Custom 93 tune
2.5" mandrel bent dual exhaust, Magnaflow x-pipe and Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers
190 lph Walbro in-tank fuel pump
30#/hr Bosch type III injectors
"Crack pipe" coolant mod

Drivetrain stuff that doesn't really affect the numbers:
2004 4R70W
10" 3500 stall converter
1993 one piece Mark VIII driveshaft
3.73 Trac-lok gears

The thing still gets 20+ MPG city. Highway suffered a little with 3.73s, but still 24+.
