I ordered two of these. Is that all I need? Or is there a front & rear set?

I think these go in from the rear, so I'd take out the nut & bolt, then carefully hammer out the bushings pushing them towards the rear. Apply grease to new ones and reinsert?

Thanks!

All Im gonna say is have fun getting those bolts loose. Hopefully you have power tools or a lift. I changed my rack and pinion when I got the car and it was the biggest pain in the ass I have had with it. IIRC the Bolt is a 21mm and the nut is a 24mm and is torqued over 200lb ft (its been 3 years since i did it however). I didnt pull the old bushings out but I did grease the new ones when I put them in the new R&P. Bushings have to come out towards the front too, the K member and the lip doesnt allow it out the rear. And you may have to lower the R&P to get the bolt out. I remember that being an issue when I tried to put the new one in.

Send those back; order the poly set (which is split; half in the front, half in the back); be sure to keep the insert out of your old bushings!

If these don't have the insert, you'll have to do that anyway.

Pay attention to which way the insert goes, and insert them turned the same way.

(I did the bushings while doing the rack; wasn't that hard at all with the rack in my hands and the press sitting there.)

but are there 4 bushings in total , or just the two? All I have is two.

The two I have already have their metal inserts in them.

The rubber ones only have 2, one for each side.

cool... then I'm set.
I've a breaker bar I MAY attempt. Otherwise, my mechanic with a lift and better tools can have fun with it!

Thanks!

The rubber are two bushings; the poly are four, half bushings.

Poly doesn't come with the insert either.
