My power steering feels like its slowly dying and has been getting slightly worse. It is tighter in the cold morning and loosens up a bit after driving 20mins or so but is still feeling tight. It varies also sometimes its looser feeling then others and steering return/feel improves. Now I flushed it about 6mnths ago and it didn't help. It does groan when turning slightly left still but I'm guessing that is just air trapped maybe or a blockage? It's weird because the fluid looks brand new still (see-through) so I don't think any contamination has got to it but it seems like the fluid is barely circulating in the resovoir. My rack and pinion has a tiny seepage from the driver side; seal on that large nut and gasket but I haven't had to add any fluid since I flushed it so the leak must be very small. Do you think I should try to re-bleed the air out or does it sound like it is too far gone?

The rack has morning sickness and will need to be replaced. You can limp it along but it is on its way out. FWIW, don't waste money on the ones from AZ or advance. Do yourself a favor and get a ford unit.

Update... I decided to try and re-flush the ps fluid. This time I flushed about 3 quarts mercon 3 through it instead of power steering fluid like was in there until color changed from clear to red. I then pulled the computer fuse and cranked the car while turning the wheel left and right. After I could see some bubbles in the fluid so I guess it worked and it seems to steer better than before. Does this bleeding method hurt the battery alot it felt pretty hot when done?
