why does it have ll those dam bends in the lines? why cant u just make it a straight ****ing line?

The reason they are bent is to make you ask why they are like that. No really...I was just on the phone with the guy that invented them! I swear! :D

But seriously, I wonder why they are made of both rubber flex line and steel tubing...one or the other, but both? :2huh:

No kidding. It took me 8 hours to replace my rack and pinion with the help of a friend and some very handy tools. We were both so effing fed up with my car after that I didn't even want to look at it until the next day. During the replacement I almost considered dropping the k-member.

well as long as noone knows the answer, when i get my next bird im yankin it out and having a straight line, if i dont reply to my posts, then u know im dead:rolleyes:

I have read that they are looped to provide cooling in cars without power steering coolers. Not sure if all Tbirds come with coolers or just the 5.0 liters. My 5.0 has one.
