Not sure.... They did alot of metal work on the hood and it's heavy lawl. I wouldn't be doing steel. That's for sure. Just get fiberglass.

That wouldn't be difficult to replicate in sheetmetal.

I preferred it a little higher than what I have been seeing. It is a tad high though. What height would you say that cowl is?

Hard to say from a photo, probably 3 to 5 inches.

From the photo, I would estimate 5"-6". That is significantly higher than 3".

I think you should only get a cowl if needed. Getting a big cowl for no other reason than looks is like those hondas we all make fun of with ****-off massive wings.

I agree if the engine needs more air after stage 2-3 I'll go that route if necessary.

Regardless of clearance requirements there's a weight savings to be had. A fiberglass cowl hood is considerably lighter than a stock steel hood.
