Its five. For some reason they like to use Roman numerals.

There is also a Mercon III. I doubt it is pronounced "iiii"

Yeah, you're right. It would be pronounced "iii" :)
:uppoint: Smart A$$,

I once heard a story about a chick that walked into a dealership and asked for a Ford Fiso. When the sales man looked at her funny and said Ford didn't carry a Fiso. She said "Yes you do!" and pointed to the long row of F-150's parked on the lot.
Ironically, the title of the thread should be pronunciation.

I was wondering how long it would take before anyone noticed.

True Story

I am in Advance Auto Parts and these three hispanic guys are trying to get parts for their car. The keep saying that they have a Honda "see" or "C". After a while it turns out they have a Honda Civic SI.

Sheesh.

Introducing in english the NEW Honda YES!
Some years ago I read in in a marketing text book that CHEVROLET found they could not sell Nova's to hispanics.
Their High Priced research revealed that the car's name consisted of two spanish words NO VA, which translate "no go".

The translation is true, but there was no problem selling the car:

Without disputing the snopes article, I lived in brooklyn NY 79 -91 and heard more than once, one hispanic tease another about his "No Va".
And how many of us have said "Yu go, it doesn't" or "Fix Or Repair Daily" it still doesn't change the fact that the cars sold very well, not "couldn't sell to hispanics".
from what hear we're not supposed to put mercon V in tbirds
