Pulleys are one of the next thing on my list...I hear of people getting new alternators, or just getting them rewound because of the pulleys.

I have a rather big system totalling over1,800 watts of amplifier power. However it has it's own seperate battery dedicated to it. The only thing still drawing power from the primary battery and alternator is the Head unit.

Do I still have to worry about my alternator when I install pulleys?

My power wire is running directly from the battery that I have in the trunk...remember it it dedicated only to my amps. The only wires running to the front are the grounds.
