I have two mufflers I want to put on my 4.6. I cut the old ones off (flowmaster and they rusted out..who would have guessed!,haha). Anyways. The new mufflers are 2.5 and my stock pipes are 2 1/2. Is there a union or something that I can use?

I'm not welding them because ever shop around here wants 150+ just for four welds. So I'm going to bolt them on until I go back home where I can get it done for 50. But that won't be for another 4-5 months (after winter). So I need something that will work for the long haul.

Please let me know. Car sounds like a ricer right now with the mufflers off. Thanks

You can hit up any local parts store and they can hook you up with a 3-4 inch extension 2.5 to a 2.25.
