Since I'm working within a $500 budget for the 24 Hours of Lemons, I'm very price conscious here and found that these guys have a pretty good price on a Pressure Control Valve Solenoid (part #F6AZ-7G383-AA I believe for me 95 Tbird LX w/ 4R70W transmission).

I don't buy transmission parts much (or ever except for the jmod kit from Alan @ DD) so I wanted to know if any of you folks have dealt with them before.

I saw a post here where someone is specing these parts for a Subary Legacy so they might be legit.

I was originally looking at 800700trans.com but their price was too good to be true. Not only do they have several complaints on other enthusiast forums, they've also managed to earn themselves an F from the BBB

Since the shady folks also run a few other fronts (fordtransmissionparts.com/.net), I thought I should post here to see if anyone had any experience with Makco (just to be extra safe).

Thanks in advance for your replies.

For those of you who may be curious about Makco Distributing aka Bulkpart.com aka Makcotransmissionparts.com, I think they were legit.

The solenoid shipping was a bit high (~$12 for a ~$40 product) but I ordered it on 3/4 and it arrived on 3/10 (AL to CA in 6 days -- not bad).

It came in a baggie and a box and seems to have a thin coat of ATF on it. If this was a used product, they went through a heck of a lot of trouble to make it look legit.

I won't know for another few weeks if what i received was 100% good as I need to schedule time with my other team members to work on this birds tranny. I would tentatively recommend this outfit though....

Regards,
