So i searched, but im not that great at it, If this has been posted before, just a link to that thread will be great.

So I've been spending too much time on ebay.... mark motors are pretty cheap...

i know i'll need the vacuum actuators for the imrc's or a window switch.

Can i run the mark motor off my 96's engine harness and ecu, i know it'll need tuned, but that shouldnt be a big problem.

Yes. You would need the window switch to run the IMRCs on your 96 ECM, or to delete the IMRCs, and you would need to extend some connectors on the engine harness, but using the SOHC harness and ECM is generally regarded as the easiest way to accomplish this swap.

It doesn't need to be a window switch, as you don't want to close the IMRC's at some higher rpm. Use a RPM-activated switch and save yourself a little coin.

Awesome ty gents.

I might be getting a dohc motor soonish.

My wife and I are going to be buying her a gas sipper, likely a neon. And if the conti doesnt sell, i'll part her out and keep the motor for the bird.

I guess I should start by asking a few more questions.

1st are the motor mounts in the same place on a fwd block?

2nd is there any reason why i cannot use the same accessory location from the conti in the bird?

I also assume i will need to find a mark's intake manifold, fuel rails, and imrc controls, am i correct there?

the b heads really shine with forced induction though right?

also is the combustion chamber larger or smaller or same as a npi head?

Both can shine with forced induction. Bs flow much less from the exhaust though. Combustion chamber is much larger than the npi. Pistons are only dished 3ccs on 4Vs

Sweet, ty gm, i have seen your post on that before, but forgot bout it.
So going with the 4v heads, it will lower my compression to approx 9.18:1
which is not what i want to do :(

How is the strength of the conti crank and rods compared to my npi in the bird?

EDIT: found it, they have the same type of crank rods and pistons... all pretty meh.
