I am planning on putting on some new pi heads from blue oval decided to get them while i have the intake off.

The question is how many oil plugs do i need for the heads?

I never messed with them before except sending the old ones out to a machine shop and they messed with them.

What i want to ask how many do i need to put on the heads so i wont have a oil leak.

Also what are the good type if there are a good type, would there be a part number for them?

Thank you for the help.

If I'm not mistaken, you shouldn't have to install any oil plugs.

Brand spankin new the plugs aren't installed but they should come with them. The heads aren't left right specific out of the box so you need to plug oil feeds for the would-be tensioners on the back.

as for type, you need to go down to the local hardware stores and look at 1/8" NPT, 1/4" NPT, and 3/8" NPT pipe plugs. Mainly so you can familiarize yourself with the size of each one of those. That way when you get your heads, you can look for the spots where they go.
