$10-$15 a pop on ebay, sometimes you'll even find a pair for that much.

The back of the remote has the following on it:
TRANSMITTER 1
FCC ID: GQ4343CT4T
DOC: 1470 K763
TRW Inc 3165189

I got one on ebay and never could get it to program to my car I think the dealer told me $60 to set it all up and everything. I wondered if something was wrong with my car because the remote wouldn't program but my original one still worked, intermittenly...

Matt, have you noticed if some remotes have better range than others? I probably need to replace the batteries and clean the contacts on mine, but it seems like its effective range is only about 20-40 feet with no obstacles, and I often have to press the button(s) multiple times to get a response - where most newer remotes seem to have no issues over distances twice that far with obstacles.

I investigated this briefly a while back. No reliable way to do it without coming up with some sort of IC.

Step 1 - Install a relay harness for your lights, so that you have an easy method of blinking the lights.

Step 2 - Examine carefully page 111-4 in the EVTM for hints.

Step 3 - Wire up the proper logic.

Profit!
