Is it okay to mix copper and platinum spark plugs? The engine in question is a 3.8L splitport in a '96 Windstar. Would it be ok to use copper plugs in the front bank and platinum plugs in the rear for longevity?

I realize some may be asking themselves, "Why doesn't he pay the extra $4.50 for 3 more platinums?" I'm wondering because I have 6 coppers that I bought before I realized I needed platinums in at least the rear bank, and I'd like to use them somewhere. Longevity is key for the rear bank, because it is a major pain to get back there. (It's almost impossible to change them unless you remove the cowl and the upper intake.)
