Hello everyone. I'm in the process of converting the rear drums to discs.

In examining the bearing, I see oozing of lubricant around bearing and am replacing it.

The new SKF unit looks to be a sealed unit. The Haynes/Chilton books don't mention whether any lube should be added post the pressing in of the bearing.

Any thoughts/suggestions here?

Thanks, for the response. That definitely reaffirms my thinking.

The old donor spindles and bearings were leaking as it appeared were mine. Definitely time for a replacement.
