It has frozen over completely down here for the first time in years, and i need to use my rear defrost. when I got the car in '04 the rear defrost worked, but the tint wasn't so good. I peeled it off, and I guess I tore off the brown stuff or something that was all over the window, and one of the connector pieces broke away from the window. I now have a new tint on there and the defrost does not work. Obviousy because the little Wire connector piece is not attatched, but if I just like solder that back or something, would it start to work or what?
-thanks

I've seen repair kits specifically for heated rear windows in auto parts stores. You could try that, but who know the damage that has been done.
master is right, I had to fix mine after the tint shop jacked mine up.

If you did tear off the brown stuff from the rear windshield, then hooking the connector back up won't help.
