I am getting ready to get a rear-end built up for my weekend play car, and am thinking strongly about going with a Detroit Locker for the 28 spline 8.8, P.N. 187C147A. These are a little to radical for a daily driver, but figured since mine will only see about 100 miles a week, with a good percentage of that up and down the strip, it would be OK. I am aware of the way they lock up both axles under any torque applications, even if turning, had one in my old 67 GT Stang :) Do any of you guys know of anyone using one of these in there MN12? They are not cheap, but will handle year after year of abuse with nothing more than a oil change, so thought it may be worth it.

I was going to go with 4.56 gears, but since I put on the lower profile DR, and considering the slippage of my non lockup converter, thinking on staying with 4.30 gears to try to keep it in the 5,500-6,000 RPM range through the lights. Ideas?
