Does anyone know the rear shock length when its fully extended for the factory Bird shocks? I work at Advance Auto and im lookin at another possibility for rear shocks for our cars. I put the rear sensatracs on the back of mine that are for the 03 cobras and the ride is softer than I want. However, the rear sensatrac shocks for the Ford Escape are the same setup as far as mounting and are alot stiffer than the cobras. Looking for a cheaper option than the Bilstiens for guys who are tryin to save some money.

Good lookin. I'll take a measurment of the others next time at work. Nevrmind, I found it.

Extended 25.15 inches
Compressed 15.25 inches
Travel 9.88 inches

Think they'll work?

You'll need to do something to limit suspension travel.

Extended - well, when I drop a shock to get ready to pull a LCA, it doesn't drop six inches.

And you'll be hitting the shock's limit of travel before the snubber. A really big dump and you just blew your shocks out. Or, worse, the upper shock mounts.

No, they won't work.

You can TRY them, but I'd be worried about them.

These are tougher, there's an adjustment bolt on the bottom, lol.

:)

These are just inserts, and do not mount the same as the mn12 konis did.
