I need some help please. when I bought my 94 lx, the suspension and the front end where pretty much shot. Since then, new bushingsand assorted parts on the front, new springs and shocks, front and back, new tires, alignment. The front of the car drives and rides like new. When the rear tires go over certin bumps, manhole covers for example, it feels like the rear end just shudders from the impact. Most of the time when your just riding, it fells fine. I've taken it to a trusted mechinec and he checked everything back there and said everything looks fine, all tight and snug where it should be and the bushings look fine.
Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this? After all the work I did, it sucks feeling those bumps. I did everything to stock standerds.
Thanks for any help, don't post often but read every day. Can't believe how much I've learned here.

time for new shocks. get the 2003/2004 mustang cobra svt convertible rear shocks to replace it and you'll love it. stiff enough but not harsh. about 75 bones a piece if budget allows it. you won't regret it. where in michigan are you in? if not too far i can help you out. i'm in mid-michigan area. on mine i feel the same thing before shocks replacement and the new shocks is a night and day difference.

I put new shocks on about 8-12 months before I did the springs and the springs were in several peices. Maybe they got worn out from having to support the weight of the car. I'm from over in Zeeland, thanks for the reply.
