I'm waiting for my remote oil filter kit to arive and all sorts of questions pop up. I.E.
1) How much oil can I expect to come gushing out when I remove the old filter? I'm not planing to do a complete oil change, just did one a few weeks ago.
2) I've looked it over, but must ask, is there a really good place to route the oil lines?
3)What's the best filter for a remote set up? It will be mounted straight up.
4)Any other special tricks I may have missed?:2huh:

Do you mean special tricks for getting the filter off from the factory location? If so cutting the wheel all the way to the right makes it a lot easier. That works better if you have a lift or a pit.

1. You might as well wait until your next oil change to do this or you will be doing a lot of extra work.

2. Alone the body and I believe just forward of the motor alone the body there is a place to travel through to the outer body from the engine bay.

3. You will probably have to use a 5.0L filter so any good name brand will do.

4. Locate the filter in an area where you can get an easy hand on it through one of the holes in the bottom of the front bumper (this is what I did on my 97)
