I'm taking apart my LX interior and putting it in my 5.0 (too mint to give up) I'm stuck trying to get the heat and A/C control panel off, I cant find a way to disconnect the wire that is connected to your hot or cool sliding switch, and makes it impossible to remove the panel without disconnecting it, anyone have any ideas?

I've removed it, and it was fairly easy once you're able to do it. I can't remember what it looks like, since it's been so long. I just screwed with it a while and got it to come off.

Got a picture of it that I could maybe get a little more indepth on discussion? Don't have my Cougar anymore.

2 minutes after posting I actually looked through my Haynes manual and found out how to do it. U need to insert to pieces of coat hanger into the holes on the a/c panel, apply a side load and pull.
