Hi all,

Does anyone know how to remove the power door lock actuator rod from the latch? I have the actuator removed from the bracket and the power cable detached and even have the window guide moved out of the way so I can move the actuator in whatever direction I need. But with that hook in the way I can't seem to get it out of that latch. Any ideas?

Thanks,
John

Well I must have been drunk yesterday because I went out there today, fiddled around with the thing and had it off in 45 seconds. I tried to work it more at the hook end than the actuator and it slipped right out eventually. Putting the new one on was even easier.

It was hard getting the new actuator into the bracket but it's all in and working now.

Of course now my window doesn't go down anymore. It goes down like 2 inches and gives up. I think I put the window guide back in the right place. Everything was really wet inside the door since it's been raining; I figure I'll let it dry up and see if that solves the problem.
