K so i lost my key and dont wanna pay to get a locksmith, will be cheaper to replace ignition tumblers, but i dont know how to remove the ignition. anyh help?

I'm pretty sure you can't get the cylinder out without the key...

I don't know about the T-birds specifically, but most cars that I have done have a hole that you push something small into, after removing the column covers. (IE a straightened paper clip or a small allen wrench) This will push in a pin that unlocks the cylinder and you can pull it straight out.

T-Birds have that pin too, but as with most cars you need to have the key in before you can push the pin. The ignition switch can't be removed (well, it can, but you'll break stuff) without the key.
