If they are in good shape with no curb rash, then yes they are worth that.

I'd offer her $600 for the whole car and then fix the BS things the dealer told her was wrong.

That looks so much like my car its scary! Except I have a Xenon kit and Supercoupe tail lights and clear corners.

From what I can see, nice looking Bird she's got. I'ld fix the trans and engine probs, look at what the dealer says needs replacement. Likely just a section or some reust that needs attention down the road.

My mother took her Subaru to the dealer for routine service, man there said next inspection time rolls around it's going to need new headlights due to clouding. Something like $350 each he quoted, she was worried and thinking it was trade time.

2001 Legacy has less than 30K on it .... we replaced the original tires for age cracking when half worn a few years ago.

I polished them new looking one day while I was over there.

You never know what a dealer meant when hearing it second hand.
