Hi I'm in the process of rebuilding my AODE and found out the reverse drum was damaged due what appears to be a bad sprag. It seized it to the drum so I don't know if I have a mechanical diode or roller clutch how can I tell? Thanks in advance!

1) No MN12 ever came with an AODE, they're all 4R70Ws. AODEs were in 94-5 Mustangs, and mid92-5 Crown Vics/GMs/TCs.

2) All AODEs/4R70Ws built before 1998 had roller one-way clutches.

3) No matter what, buy the mechanical diode and drum. Don't waste your time/money buying inferior parts.

Is this an roller clutch or mechanical diode? This is the one I'm planning on buying.
