has anyone heard of this problem before? basically when its idle, its alot rougher than normal, sometimes to the point of almost going dead, but that is sparce, usually its just rough sounding, and i have noticed when it does that sometimes my oil meter will dip down for a second and go right back to normal... still cranks every time no problem, drives fine except it sounds to be possibly missing, when i give it gas it kind of sounds like its missing a little....

anyone have any ideas?

oil pressure gauge is an idiot gauge, that horse has been beaten. You still have a piston slap issue even though you probably dont hear it. And you most likely have a miss, change the plugs and wires, check for vac leaks, check the coil pack plates for any corrosion, and scan the EEC is you have a check engine light.
