well, since i'm goin to b pting for a new remaned engine and all, i had been thinkin about getting the overdrive pulley. now i have the exhaust fairly straightened out behind the cats, all the bottlenecks are removed. would it be safe to run the 10% od pulley?

How open is your exhaust? Just the mufflers deleted and restonator changed? What about the rest of the exhaust? If it's still stock size, I'd advise replacing the entire exhaust, starting with new cats and going all the way back. Also, if you have the time, might not be a bad idea to port your exhaust manifolds, whether you do it yourself or track some down on SCCoA.

If you have changed all your exhaust to a bit larger than stock, you should be OK. Otherwise, if it's just deleted mufflers and changed resonator, I'd personally be a bit cautious when putting on a 10% OD pulley.

you really should have headers or ported exhast manifolds to be the safest. upgrading to a bigger fuel pump is a good idea too. How old are your headgaskets?
