i am just wondering, does anyone else here eat this stuff? I've been eating it pretty much all my life, and had it tonight, what a treat Now, I got to thinking tonight, I dont think I've ever met anyone else who eats this stuff, much less likes it or maybe even knows what it is....I live in california, but my family is not from cali originally, they're from the midwest, so is it just not a cali thing? Just curious.

Love the stuff! Mom is 100% german and in-laws are 100% polish/ukrane, so it's prttey much required for me to eat AND like it.

I agree with Eric Z., a ruben sandwich once in a while is great! I also love sausage, but I'm the only one in our house who eats it... so with 6 people to satisfy at once, I don't get to indulge.

I have German/Polish in my heritage (not to mention Russian), but never developed a taste for sauerkraut.

have a difficult time finding it here, but when I was in Scotland (only a week, wanna go back) it was pretty easy to come by.

it's well-known here in ohio.
i love sausage and brautwurst, but never liked the kraut.

I could live off the stuff being of German heirtage myself. When my mom makes it she adds dumplins. This talk of kraut, sausage, and dumplins makes me wanna go make some right now (it's 9:30 at night) Good Eats!:thumbsup:
