Wouldn't you just unhook the hard line and vacuum. Unbolt it from the firewall, and slide the pedal out. That is how I did it on a friends eclipse. Unless there is a trick to the sc.

As I recall it's 3 nuts on the engine bay side of the firewall after the MC is removed

Besides the 3 bolts on the engine bay side theres also one bolt under the dash and the hardest to get.

If your taking the clutch pedal from a junkyard car then itll be alot easier since you can rip up stuff but what i did was remove all the dash trim pieces, removed the gauge cluster, and once the cluster is removed you can see a black rubber hose running across the dash and behind it is the bolt. There definitly enough room to get a wrench in there because I removed it with a small rachet. There might be some other dash parts you might have to remove but overall it wasnt too hard to get, just a pain.
