Just installed a 9'' cone and am making a heatshield. While removing the filterbox I found a red tipped sensor in the box, what do I do with this?

Thanks
Will

You can mount it anywhere in your intake air stream. It's more accurate in the intake because the stock intake is drawing air from the outside.

I've seen a picture where someone drilled a hole in the side of the of the inner fender where the air box was and mounted it there. It would be measuring air temp inside the fender and not engine compartment air. Problem with that is if your cone is drawing air from inside the engine compartment, your air temp sensor is going to be off.
