Got the results today from AAMCO as to how much it will cost to rebuild my tranny.....

$1500 if I let them do the work parts and labor.

I think that a call to southern gear is in order.....

JUST SAY NO TO AAMCO

I've never personally dealt with them, but all the bad stuff i have heard about them makes me think, they're just they're to screw you. Buy a Junkyard/greenleaf trans, J-mod it/Shift Kit, and put a good cooler on and i bet you'll still beat their price by 500$+

can't tell exactly what year you have, but if you have an aod, there is a guy selling totally built aod's down south somewhere for about $800 on ebay. free shipping too. also have 4r70w wide gears and a manual valve body. good deal.

And if it's a 4r70w, call Art Carr and give them Jerry's specs.

Just make sure you go to the right Art Carr. Art Carr the person now runs a shop out in california called California Performance Transmission. Another guy bought out his shop in Texas and still uses the Art Carr name, but produces an inferior product that many end up complaining about.

Do the labor yourself. Pull the trans and take it to them, and put it back in yourself. Should save about 500 bones that way. The SC trans is soo expensive to get worked on....darm mazda's

The SC is 5 spd M5R2. I am getting the tranny back from AAMCO after they trouble shot it for me. They are giving me a detailled description of what is wrong with the tranny. Aparently there are several gears that are chipped pretty badly, also I am going to replace all of the bearings, and also the blocking rings.

Nick, Yes I am interested in buying an exhaust for the SC. What do you have that you are selling?
