My serpentine belt is glazed. It is the second belt, the original had chunks missing. Is it difficult to replace? The current one is a Goodyear, and has 30,000 miles on it. Should it last longer? It doesn't slip or squeal.

Place a socket (18mm?) on the belt tensioner pulley. Turn as if you are trying to loosen the bolt and the tensioner will come up. Slip the belt off the idler pulley and pull it off. Route the new belt and when you are ready to position it, pull up on the tensioner and slip it back under the idler pulley. Should take all of 2 minutes.
