I just ordered the springs, so time for the shocks/structs :)

However, since bilstein has stopped making shocks/structs for our cars (anyone know where I can get some, if any), whats the next best thing besides Koni (just curious)?

Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Well hopefully I can get some front bilstein structs...but the back...I dunno. Probabaly will put in Koni. So Bilstein in the front and Koni in the back. Anyone know where to get these pretty cheap?

I wouldn't mix and match shocks on a street car. Several SC owners on SCCoA have said they like the KYB shocks for our cars. I have koni's and love them, but I did get a nice deal, was ordering the blisteins off of Shox.com when they were being phased out, so they sold me the Koni's at a good price.

So if you were me, what would you do?

EDIT: If I were to get the Koni, what do you think I should get?

You'll have to call Dan on that one, but last time I checked, the fronts were still available, and you just use LX rears, which has proven to be a pretty good combo.

I just replaced my front sport shocks and springs with the Vogtland springs and new Sport shocks. I'm using Bilstein's in the rear and am very happy with the setup. You can get new front sport shocks from Dan Newman for around $55 each - cheap!

What the difference between the sport shocks/lx rears and Koni? Are the sport shocks better than Koni or any other brand?

Konis are adjustable, race bred shocks. Koni would probably be my first choice (they're in the plans once the $ come around), but are atleast twice the price of it's nearest competitor.

Sport fronts are cheaper than generic crappy replacements, and a much better shock. The Koni's are awesome, but you are comparing a $500 set of shocks against a $180 set of sport fronts/LX rears, and to tell the truth, the Koni's are waaaay too much shock for 90% of people, even if you do some spirited driving.
