So,

I was going to install a new ported upper intake manifold, fuel injectors 14lb., and a 56mm throttle body on my 94 t-bird (unsupercharged). I ended up getting sent the wrong man., and had a hell of a time getting things back on. So, I ended up putting the old one back on with the new injectors and throttle body. I believe I have everything set up right, but now the car shakes violently when i drive it, and I can't get any decent acelleration out of it all. I checked everything, but can't find a problem.

does anyone have a shop or know somebody in town that can help mee???? I am a poor college student and need helppp!!!!

did you reconnect the PCV tube that plugs in underneath the manifold? I forgot that my first time doing the manifolds and took me a while to figure it out.

Otherwise, there's bigmike :D He's done the intake manifolds a few times now.

yeah i did that, and triple checked everything. however, on the vacum hoses, green goes into the egr valve assembly, and the red goes into the manifold, and the larger on on top of that goes into the regulator.

i think i may try taking off the new throttle body, and put on the old one. maybe see if that does anything. im just totally running out of ideas here. it also threw up some codes on the way to work this morning. so i gotta check those out too. if anyone in houston has a shop though i would be in their debt to help me.

I know mike already explained it to you privately, but just for future searches and things, you put the TPS on the throttle body 90* clockwise from the bolting position, then twist it to the bolting position and install the bolts. For best results, put a voltmeter on the ground and lead wire and twist it until it's between .96-.99v closed. You'll want to have the key in the "on" position but not running while doing this.

Make sure you put the plug wires on right for starters
there isnt even any reason to remove those on a v6 when taking off the upper manifold ;)

yeah but you'd also taken off the manifold too didnt you?

Anyways, you may have broken the TPS when you installed it incorrectly, so install it correctly and see if that makes a difference, if it doesn't, you'll need to get a new one.
