Will a rearend out of 2002+ Explorer/Mountaineer work for our cars?
I believe they are IRS....

Are they a different spline, or direct swap?

They also appear to have an extra attachment to the pumpkin...speed sensor or something? Does it interfere with swapping into our cars?

when I did my gears, I collected misc parts....I scored a free iron diff from Timb, a trac lok and 3.73s from a local guy for 75$ and picked up misc seals and bearings. I found a local shop and dropped the **** off and it was done the next morning and paid 220$ for the work to be including the interior axle seals I forgot to pick up.

It seems most hotrod shops dont like to work on bird because dropping the center section is a pain in the ass for them. Its easier for them to pop off the rear cover from a stang or crown vic and do it like that.
