I want to run skinny front tires for drag racing and I am planning on sending out a pair of 15” fan blade wheels to get narrowed. The tires that I would probably run call for a wheel width of 3.5” to 5”. I was thinking about asking the company doing the work to take my wheels down to 4” wide.

Does anyone here had any experience or recommendations when it came to narrow wheel sizes?

We had the wheels on the Marauder narrowed to 5" from 8" and run the mickey thompson 26x6x18 et street sr. Weld craft did ours. Had a buddy do the same but he went with a guy in CA and he actually used a new inner barrel where weldcraft used the OE rim with a really thick weld. Tha CA job was cleaner looking but maybe not as strong.

I sent pictures of a fanblade wheel to Weldcraft wheels and they said because of the design of the wheel, they would only be able to narrow it 1”. I was hoping to take the factory 6.5” down to 4”.
I will be passing because 1” really doesn’t seem worth messing with.

If you're able to run a 15" front, why not use the aluminum SC spare wheels? IIRC, they are 15"x4". Mine are for sale.

I mostly just like the appearance of the stock wheels and I thought it would be pretty trick to have a set of skinny fan blades.

... and pm sent. ;)
