I am doing some suspension work so I have the car on stands. I notidsed some dry tranny fluid under the car and traced it to the converter access plug which I removed. Is there something I should/could look for in that hole? The amount n the floor is about 4" in diameter and old and dry. The car is in storage and sometimes some small leaks may appear fom non-use. Another ? is if this is indicitive of a common problem with tranny or converter? Tahnks, mark
PS: I would like to do a J-mod but already have a '99 4R70W and have not seen directions for that year. How long does this mod typically take? I tried to access darrins site but it is shanged and I cannot see his products. I believe he offered 2-3 different valve bodies already modified. Advice/suggestions please? Mark

The front pump seal is the only thing that can be leaking in the bellhousing area, unless it's coming from the converter drain plug.
