My car has pulled to the right since I got it. The tires were basically new and so I've left them alone and now that I got the new rims and tires I have observed something on the tires.

If you place the front tires side by side as they would be mounted on the car and look closely I notice that there is a wear strip on each tire about 2 inches right of center.

Meaning wear strip on right tire to the outside and wear strip on the left tire also to the right side.

If I were to make a minor alignment adjustment, what would be the way to go?

Add positive camber to the left?

I've had two cougars for a long time now and they both pull to the right. If I allign to factory specs, it doesn't help. Was wondering if the power steering can fail with time and cause this. The pull to the right seems to get worse with time also. My Dad has a 91 F350 that has the same characteristics.

swap the front tires and see if it changes direction , some drift to the right is normal due to road crown .

Ok, so now I have the new wheels and tires on and it is very neutral.
Once the nubs have worn off I should be able to tell what's going on.
I have decided the car needs to be lowered for sure so I will wait until after that to do the alignment.

Update: The tires must have been roadworn someplace with high road crowns or something.
The new tires are so neutral still I almost want to put some negative camber in.

The alignment seems to be dead on.
